Maison Margiela: the DNA of the fashion house according to Glenn Martens
In Paris, Maison Margiela opens a new chapter under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, who for the Spring/Summer 2027 collectionreturns to engage with the house's foundational codes through a more accessible and contemporary reinterpretation. The starting point is the juxtaposition of hard and soft, rigor and fluidity, construction and deconstruction, elements that have always belonged to the Margiela identity and which Martens interprets without pushing toward the conceptual extremes of his previous collections. Trench coats, tailoring, jersey, and draped dresses coexist with floral motifs inspired by 1960s brocades, transformed into column skirts and embellished with the maison's characteristic cotton ribbon. A collection that thus retains Maison Margiela's experimental attitude, but translates it into more immediate silhouettes and garments, designed to speak to a broader audience without abandoning the stylistic complexity that distinguishes the brand.
